About

Our mission is to help women build strength, confidence, and trust in their bodies for an empowered pregnancy, better birth and more supported postpartum recovery.

Our Values

Worthiness
Believing you are inherently deserving of care, support, time to yourself and investment.. and not only after you’ve given everything to everyone else. Honor your needs, time, and resources without guilt or justification. Trusting that caring for yourself is not selfish, it’s actually imperative for the overall wellbeing on your family.

Community
We believe motherhood was never meant to be done alone. Community at Body Rich means real connection, shared experience, and spaces where women feel seen, supported and welcomed exactly as they are.

Body-Positivity
We believe in caring for the body you’re in. Not chasing what you used to look like or shrinking to what you think you need to look like. We honor bodies in all seasons: pregnant, postpartum, resting, breastfeeding and rebuilding. Movement here is about self-respect, trust, sustainability and lifestyle.

Surrender
We value the wisdom of listening, trusting your intuition instead of pushing, forcing or over-planning. Surrender means letting go of timelines, accepting what’s not in your control and ebbing and flowing with contractions, postpartum healing and life in general.

Freedom
Because motherhood isn’t a ball and chain. Freedom in motherhood looks like choice, body autonomy and support. We teach movement that empowers women to feel capable, informed, and free to move in ways that feel good on and off the mat. We may never be as carefree as we used to be before children, but we will always have that post-class high or savasana clarity.

About the founder

A pregnant woman practicing yoga on the sandy beach where beach yoga classes are taught, sitting cross-legged with eyes closed, wearing a beige lace bra, ripped jeans, and a floral kimono, with buildings and a volleyball net in the background.

Megan Tillman, E-RYT200, RYT-500, YACEP,  (you can just call her MK,)  initially fell in love with yoga during college when she was feeling lost and fearful of the future. It was the only thing that soothed her anxiety. Ever since, the practice has served as her anchor throughout each phase of her life.

During her pregnancy, MK noticed the disconnect between healthcare and pregnant people. The automatic response to asking about pains or discomforts was the dismissal of the issue being "normal" or eagerness to refer to chiropractors or physical therapists.

Midway through her third trimester, she set out on her mission to become an AFPA Certified Prenatal and Postpartum Fitness Specialist and completed her barre training seven months pregnant. She now provides unique services that no other yoga instructors in our community offer. With a 1:1 yoga practice or training session, you’ll receive guidance on form, tips on how to exercise to best serve you, your pregnancy and your new postpartum body… or energetic body. MK blends meditation, breathwork, yoga, Pilates, reiki, and strength training into sessions.

How incredible would it feel if you could regain control over your evolving, shared body?

When you work with MK, you get your own personal cheerleader. She's basically your pregnancy's hypegirl. Expect fun and creative sequencing/choreography, carefully curated playlists, and results. She guarentees you will feel better in your evolving body through pregnancy and beyond.

You won’t need to scramble to find a safe trainer when you’re pregnant or ready to get back to your body postpartum. You can stick with us for years.

So simple, right?

MK loves her family, astrology, cooking new recipes and Rise Up lavender oat milk lattes.

  • I can’t thank Megan enough for playing an important role during my pregnancy. Her group classes and private classes have truly helped me both physically and mentally! I can’t wait to continue classes with her through the remainder of my pregnancy and postpartum! She is amazing!

    -Kelly

  • I took this class with a specific intention to open my hips {for childbirth} and it was great to identify my tight spots and what exercises to focus on. The instructor was warm, intentional, and welcoming and met me where I was. Would definitely recommend.

    -Olivia

  • I was about 4 months postpartum when I started doing private yoga sessions with MK. I was unsure of how to do the poses I used to do and she helped me find the right adjustments and modifications I needed to still practice.

    -Allison

  • Megan always brings out the best in me. Even when I’m nervous to try something new, she’s gentle, kind, encouraging, and empowering. I feel a million times better and full of gratitude after every session!
